Review-Common Law

Hello and good day to you guys and girls. How are you today?Fine and peachy I hope. Today I would like to do review U.S.A'S t.v. show called "Common Law". Ever since I saw the preview I thought I would give it a try. It seemed like an interesting concept. Two detectives who need to go to therapy because the don't get along with each other sounds like a good premise for a show. I have to admit though that its seemed very close to U.S.A'S other series 'Psych' of course that is without the psychic spin on it.
It slipped my mind for a while though and I didn't venture into actually watching the series until a few weeks ago. I am glad I did though. It is a really nice family series with lots of laughs and excitement. It does remind me of both 'Psych' and 'Monk'both U.S.A shows.
I do have some negative things to say about the series though. Firstly to start off with, I was not sure about the chemistry between the two main characters Travis and Wes. the U.S.A network is usually famous for getting actors that seem to click and their chemistry just fits, that helps makes the show. Even if you don't really like it, you watch for because the characters fit together so well. I don't know if I think they fit to well together.
Only after watching the role playing episode did they really start to get good. I am not sure if the theme of needing couple's counselling works but its funny. I don't really think they need it that much....Oh and I wish they would drop the ex wife story-line with Wes, its very annoying and makes him seem a bit pat.
I read some reviews from other people who really liked the show, so it seems to be doing really well. It seemed to have built a following already although it is only a little into the first season. I have read reviews in which people say that maybe they might as well make them gay and that would've been the unique thing about it. I have to agree that would've been awesome. Two gay detectives who not only work together but also are together outside of work and need couples therapy. It could've been the same actors, and everything else about the plot could've been the same.Unfortunately we might have to wait a long while before a network feels comfortable enough to do that. It still is a good show even though it lacks sometimes.Common Law stars Michael Ealy and Warren Kole on the U.S.A. network.
Words of advice for today: Sometimes you need to get into a show for a little while to get a point before you actually like it. The first episode may not tell you as much as you need to know.
Ciao and stuff....laters and auf wiedersehen!

BTS SEX SCANDAL???

So I may be late to this because this happened last year but I just discovered this picture. So Apparently Jin from BTS was showing a tutorial or something like that and fans saw in the background a condom and freaked.....OMG I don't know where to start with this but its so ridiculous that I had to say something about it. As a result of fans(??) freaking out that their idols possibly having sex Big Hit Entertainment-the company behind the band- released a statement saying that it was given to them in a fan gift. FIRSTLY who cares if they are having sex or not. These people deserve to have a private life too!! Hey if anything at least it looks like they are being safe about it. Secondly you guys know how crazy fans can get especially KPOP fans so I wouldn't be surprised if a fan did send it. Plus fans probably have sent much worse things. That fan probably sent it and said something like, "Wear this when we meet." Or some other weird creepy thing like that. People i...

Love Sick (the Series and Novel)

Noh needs to somehow come up with the money for the drums for his school club. Phun (who already has a girlfriend) needs someone to pretend to be his boyfriend so his sister (who is really into boy love) will convince his father not to make him go out with his friend’s daughter. Realizing that they could help each other, Noh and Phun make a deal that spiral into a series of events that bring the two boys closer together. The plot goes much deeper than that though and lots of time is spent in the novel developing the characters. We also learn more about the people who the main characters interact with on a daily basis. Love Sick the Series is a 2014 Thai series that is based on the quite popular online Thai novel written by INDRYTIMES . The novel appropriately named; ‘Love Sick: The Chaotic Lives of Blue Shorts Guys’, follows the story of two high school boys who eventually fall in love. The series takes a step away from the novel adding additional characters and plotlines to the sto...

Kpop Meets Black Women (tumblr) Review

It’s not very easy being an international Kpop fan - especially if you are a person of colour. The reason for this, I am honestly not sure. I wonder if it is because Kpop exists outside of the stereotyped idea of what persons of colour are supposed to like. For some time now I’ve noticed that it’s especially worse when you're black. One such site that explores the intersection between Kpop fans and black people - specifically black women - is Kpop Meets Black Women . Now I’ve checked out this site a few times and there are lots of things here that you find on a typical fan website, regardless of what or who said website is dedicated too. With that said I have noticed that this site gets loads of negative attention for being what it is. That is why I have decided to review it, like I would anything else. It took me a while to put together because I have some strong opinions on this particular website and the amount of hate it receives on a regular basis. With that being said, I ho...
