Hello guys and gals. how are you today? Great hopefully on your side of the world. Where ever that may be. Today's topic is on choices that we all go through. The choice of what we want to be.
When I was younger I wanted to be a scientist and you know be in a lab creating all kind of crazy things. Then I saw all those horror movies where the scientist causes all these problems and ends up dying by the hands of their own creations and that changed my mind for good.
Then when I got a little older, my mind settled on being a detective like all the ones I would read about in mystery books. Gosh I love a good mystery but as I hit teenage years. I wanted to be a writer more than anything, I guess it was from all the reading. Probably because I'd been using writing as a way to get everything out whenever I needed to clear my head. Its always been a passion of mine too, along with drawing and painting. I realized that my heart belong to the creative things in life. I could never stand sitting in an office punching numbers or anything like that. I like creating. Always have, probably always will.
So for a period I convinced myself that I could be a detective and write about my cases. I changed that though as the urged to write became everything for me. That and wanting to design and make clothes for people. Those things became what I wanted. I realized how much I wanted more than anything to be a novelist. So even now I write often and I have a few book projects that I am working on. I still draw though and I draw out designs every now and then. I also as enter many competitions as I can, just to get my work out there.
My words of advice for today: Sometimes it takes a while before you figure out what you want to be in life. You may to go through the works and have different stages before you settle on what you really want or maybe you always knew. When you do find that thing though, hold on to it. Don't let anything come between you and your dreams. We're all destined to do something, if you ever find your calling whatever it may be don't ever let it go. Ciao and stuff. Much love and Laterz.
