The Magic Of Music

Hello good day and good morrow to you. What is up on this day which is today? I feel awful. Its that time, if you know what I mean and I am getting the antisocial bug. For the next few days I'll probably have it. sigh*
On a brighter note, today lets talk about music. I think it would be nice to get a good mood going. So what kind of music are you into? Do you have a particular genre that you favor?
For me music holds a special place in my heart. I grew up with it. When I was younger I used to play the Cuatro. Not alot of people know that about me since I only used to when we used to play Parang in a small family band. Those were the days and was also a very long time ago.
Oh Parang is the music Trinidadians and Tobagonians usually play during Christmas time. Its is a mixture of Spanish, french and English songs. If you've never heard a Parang song you should look it up. Its pretty awesome.
Anyway dont play Quatro anymore but I hope to get one soon and re learn it. I do play guitar though and because of it, I learnt to play all kind of songs and that made me appreciate all kinds of genres of music. Any music lover will tell you that its really isn't the type of song but if its catchy enough, or reaches you in the right place, that's all you need to like a song. I must admit I tend to like acoustic versions of songs better than the recorded version. Its awesome when an artist can put soul into a song with just a piano or guitar or banjo or whatever playing. That is a true musician, a true artist. I listen to songs that are not even English as well. Music is one of those things that breaks language barriers and for once it doesn't matter where your from, what your background is or what you ate last night. Its just one of those things.
Maybe its truly magic or however you would call it. Maybe its just that guy with the lute.Whatever it is, good music always finds a way to touch your soul.
Words of advice for today: Music can feed our moods, so if you're in a bad mood listen to cheerful music it'll make you feel better. However sometimes listening to the to music of people who are in the same kind of emotional turmoil helps you feel that there is someone there who just gets it. That can help too.
So why do you listen to music? What kind of music are you into? Leave me a message telling me whatever you want. I'll reply.
Ciao for now and Auf Wiedersehen. MUCH LOVE AND PEACE!!

BTS SEX SCANDAL???

So I may be late to this because this happened last year but I just discovered this picture. So Apparently Jin from BTS was showing a tutorial or something like that and fans saw in the background a condom and freaked.....OMG I don't know where to start with this but its so ridiculous that I had to say something about it. As a result of fans(??) freaking out that their idols possibly having sex Big Hit Entertainment-the company behind the band- released a statement saying that it was given to them in a fan gift. FIRSTLY who cares if they are having sex or not. These people deserve to have a private life too!! Hey if anything at least it looks like they are being safe about it. Secondly you guys know how crazy fans can get especially KPOP fans so I wouldn't be surprised if a fan did send it. Plus fans probably have sent much worse things. That fan probably sent it and said something like, "Wear this when we meet." Or some other weird creepy thing like that. People i...

Love Sick (the Series and Novel)

Noh needs to somehow come up with the money for the drums for his school club. Phun (who already has a girlfriend) needs someone to pretend to be his boyfriend so his sister (who is really into boy love) will convince his father not to make him go out with his friend’s daughter. Realizing that they could help each other, Noh and Phun make a deal that spiral into a series of events that bring the two boys closer together. The plot goes much deeper than that though and lots of time is spent in the novel developing the characters. We also learn more about the people who the main characters interact with on a daily basis. Love Sick the Series is a 2014 Thai series that is based on the quite popular online Thai novel written by INDRYTIMES . The novel appropriately named; ‘Love Sick: The Chaotic Lives of Blue Shorts Guys’, follows the story of two high school boys who eventually fall in love. The series takes a step away from the novel adding additional characters and plotlines to the sto...

Kpop Meets Black Women (tumblr) Review

It’s not very easy being an international Kpop fan - especially if you are a person of colour. The reason for this, I am honestly not sure. I wonder if it is because Kpop exists outside of the stereotyped idea of what persons of colour are supposed to like. For some time now I’ve noticed that it’s especially worse when you're black. One such site that explores the intersection between Kpop fans and black people - specifically black women - is Kpop Meets Black Women . Now I’ve checked out this site a few times and there are lots of things here that you find on a typical fan website, regardless of what or who said website is dedicated too. With that said I have noticed that this site gets loads of negative attention for being what it is. That is why I have decided to review it, like I would anything else. It took me a while to put together because I have some strong opinions on this particular website and the amount of hate it receives on a regular basis. With that being said, I ho...
